Answered Prayer Guaranteed!So often as a Christian, I feel like I’ve been lied to. Some people want to make Christianity so depressing, but it’s really not. Prayer is one of the most important part’s of a Christian’s life, and yet, we’re not really taught what we need to be taught about how to do this.

I am a big fan of Billy Blank’s. Billy is the creator of the ‘Tae Bo” workouts, which I really love. I always wondered where he got all of his energy, and if you watch his videos, you’ll see just how enthusiastic he is about his workouts.

So, I did a little research to find out where he went to church. That’s when I found Dr. Frederick C. K. Price. I decided to read one of his books, and the one I chose was “Answered Prayer Guaranteed!” because prayer seems to be a weak link in my life.

I have since thrown away all of my books on prayer. The reason is that I believe that if our prayers aren’t getting answered, it’s because we aren’t praying for the right things, or we are praying for something God can’t do because it would violate someone else’s free will.

An example of this one would be healing. If deep down inside that person doesn’t want to be healed, he/she won’t because God won’t violate that person’s free will. I still pray these prayers even if I think that person doesn’t want to be healed because that person may just change his/her mind.

When God created the world, He made it perfect. He made human beings perfect. He wants us to be happy, prosperous, and to do well in life. Otherwise, we are buying into the Devil’s lies.

Dr. Price presents prayer as it should be for us. He outlines the six different types of prayers we should pray, and he tells us how to pray each one. He shows, through scripture, that if you’re not getting your prayers answered, you’re either not praying God’s will, or you don’t believe.

One of my favorite stories from the Bible is the story of Abraham and Sarah, and this story bears it out. I think the reason it took Sarah so long to get pregnant (20 years), was that she didn’t believe God’s promises to her.

Dr Price shows you how to seek out God’s promises for your life and find out God’s will for your life. You’ll also learn how to actually pray, and he shows the structure of an effective prayer. This is a book to teach you how to do it right and build a more effective prayer life.

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read on prayer, and I’ll be reading it repeatedly.
