What I’d say to Congress, American students

In this column written by Chuck Norris, I have to say that I agree with him. So much of our lives are in our control, and I know plenty of people who have a ton of health problems simply because they won’t lay down their forks.

I let my weight creep up there, and then I quite smoking back in February. I told myself I wouldn’t gain any weight, and I didn’t. However, I didn’t lose any either. I’ve found that it’s harder to lose weight over 40 although not impossible. I’ve started working out, and I feel better than I ever have.

Anyway, read this column. Chuck is right on the money. He gets it. If you want to improve your health, then take control of it. Take responsibility for your life. It’s time to stop blaming everyone else for what you’re doing.

Verse of the Day

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:1-4, ESV)
