Rush fans pummel Democrat website

OK. I admit it. I’m one of those that signed the petition, and I’m also one of those who voiced my opinion over there on the Democratic website. I’m sick of these people and their stupid ideas that don’t work and just make us financially and morally bankrupt.

Back in 1990, I moved to Michigan, and I lived there for nine years. This is where my ex husband and father of my children is from. I tried very hard to get a job, but it was always the same questions: Where are you from, why are you here, and how long are you staying?

Let me stop and explain something here: what these people did by asking me those kinds of questions on a job interview is illegal. It’s discriminatory. Quite frankly, it was none of their business why I was in Michigan. I’m an American citizen, and I have a right to live wherever I want to.

I didn’t sue, but I should have. I know they didn’t ask the other job applicants the same thing.

After enduring that for a few months, I ran out of money and options. My kids had to eat, and so I applied for welfare. It isn’t something I am proud of, and I had rather be homeless than ever do it again.

They gave me the option of looking for work or going to school. I had tried the work route with no luck, so I chose to go to college. Because I had taken college classes while I was in the Army, I only had to go to college three years.

I ended up joining the National Guard to help me pay for college. With student loans, a Pell grant, and the GI Bill, I graduated from college in 1994. I got off of welfare, and I’ve never been on it again.

While I was in college I tried being a liberal that first semester. The problem was that it conflicted with everything I knew was true about life, like personal accountability and personal responsibility. I also started listening to Rush Limbaugh.

At first, he was offensive. How dare he tell me that I was responsible for my mistakes and that if I was on welfare it was my fault. I kept listening, and he finally got through to me.

I had made a mistake moving to Michigan. The economy here in Georgia was good, I had a good job, and I could provide for my daughters. I moved to keep from splitting up my family, and that turned out to be a mistake because I ended up getting a divorce my senior year.

Water under the bridge.

Yes, Rush Limbaugh can be offensive.  It seems that more and more though that the truth is offensive. The reason Christianity is so offensive to so many people is because it’s based on truth.

Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” He also said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

For those of you who believe that there are multiple paths to heaven, well, you are wrong. Jesus is the only way. For you Christians who believe that, like I used to, you need to read your Bible.

Although Rush doesn’t know it, he is one of those people who passed through my life and made a difference. He changed so much for me and helped me to see the truth.

If you’re miserable and you think that the reason you are not successful is because you’re black, or a woman, or gay, or some other excuse, let me tell you something: that’s all it is. An excuse.

No one can hold you back from success if you really want to succeed.

I know plenty about racism. I’ve been turned down for jobs because I was white, and I was told it was because I was white. I’m not like some of you mind readers out there who assume that because someone was rude to you or mistreated you that it was because you were black, or a woman, or gay, or some other stupid reason.

Unless someone comes out and tells you that they’re doing something because you’re black or a woman or gay, don’t automatically assume anything.

Assume means to make an ass out of u and me. Ass-u-me

I’ve heard all of the excuses, and quite frankly, I agree with talk show host Dennis Prager. The best thing about Obama getting elected is that now blacks will finally have to shut up about racism or be accused of being crazy.

I’ve never owned a slave, and I’ve NEVER mistreated someone because of their race. That’s STUPID.

I had a friend who is no longer a friend who had the audacity to complain about how badly whites treated blacks. When I reminded her that I was white, that ended the friendship. Whining about racism is a luxury when most of the world is starving, and the blacks who are really suffering live in Africa and are suffering at the hands of other blacks.

Freedom of speech gives you the right to speak your opinion. It does not give you the right to lie like so many liberals think. The truth is offensive, and Rush may be offensive to you, but I like him because he tells the truth, and that’s something we all need to hear a lot more of.

“You will know them by their fruits” (Mathew 7:16)

Rush Limbuagh is not a Christian and should not be listened to by any Christian. As with all cults there is a grain of truth in his message. Once hooked by these obvious truths the “believer’ is then deceived by a multitude of lies that will lead the individual to certain destruction.

Do you know for sure that Rush is not a Christian? There will be those who are in heaven we didn’t expect to get there, and there will be those we expected to be there that won’t be.

    Where’s your proof?

Rush may or may not be a Christian. However, he’s better than any liberal in Washington, including Obama.

Rush lives by conservative principles, many of the principles that Christianity teaches. Better to listen to him than listen to people like Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others.

I had rather embrace Rush than embrace that pack of liars and thieves in Washington.

Ultimately, it’s all about truth anyway, and a lot of what Rush says is true.

Verse of the Day

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-3, ESV)
