Seeking the Peace of Christ

With the economy in bad shape, and a lot of people suffering, sometimes it’s hard not to get upset or worry about your situation. Maybe that explains why I have been praying and reading my Bible more. For some reason I can’t explain, I’ve been seeking a deeper more meaningful spiritual experience.

It’s really helping too. Many things that were bothering me before aren’t bothering me now. For whatever reason that I can’t explain, I just feel better.

If you are suffering today, for whatever reason, turn your life over to Christ. He will change your life. If you need something to help you get started, read this series. There are some excellent scriptures in it, and it will also help you get your life back on track.

I have read a lot of Joel Osteen, as well as Creflo Dollar. How they helped me is that they showed me just how loving God really is and how much he loves me.

It comes with a price though because I am on both of the mailing lists, and they are constantly sending me requests these days. I’m a little tired of it, especially since Joel Osteen gave the dedication for the new Houston mayor, who is gay. Instead of blessing her, why isn’t he trying to minister to her and tell her the truth?

Since I found Joel Osteen long after I got saved, and I had already read the Bible several times, then I understood how his message fit in. Although I found it helpful, it is incomplete.

That’s why I read “Our Daily Bread” every day now. I am a more mature Christian. I need meat, not milk.

In the July 3rd devotional, they talk about the snail and how slow it is. The snail though, perseveres. That’s how he gets to where he needs to go.

As Christians, we need to persevere too. Jesus never promsed us that it would be easy after we got saved. What he told us that he would be there for us to help us.

Tough times are actually a good thing because they make us stronger. It’s too bad that these days in our society we are being told that the government will fix everything for us, and we don’t have to do anything. This is why so many in the world fail and never experience everything God has in store for us.

We can live the successful life, and a life of peace and happiness if we are willing to go through the trials.

2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Jesus is the answer. Plain and simple.

Answering the objection, ‘But God made me gay’

When I saw this video I wanted to cry. This really is so sad. I personally don’t want to see anyone condemned.

All I can say is that we need to pray for this young man. I genuinely hope he gets saved. It’s been my experience with the homosexuals I have known, and I’ve known quite a few, are not happy people. That’s why they fight so hard for the homosexual agenda; these are people who are desperately seeking the approval of others.

Again, we need to pray for this young man, as we need to pray for every homosexual and every person who isn’t saved.

I don’t always agree with everything that Ray Comfort says, nor do I always agree with Kirk Cameron. However, I understand what they are doing and why.

I know that there are Christians out there who use Christianity as a way to beat other people over the head. That’s wrong, and it’s really sad.

If I personally come to you wanting to share the gospel with you, it’s because I love you, not because I don’t, and not because I’m here to condemn your lifestyle.

God’s love is unconditional. He loves us all. However, his approval is not automatic, and unless you have accepted  Christ as your savior, you will not see heaven. That’s what God said, not my opinion.

The Apostasy of ‘Social Justice Christians’

I am angry. In fact, I am very angry. I am so sick of Obama and his policies I want to puke. What a complete and total moron, and to call him a moron is to insult morons.

I had some clue as to what he believed when I listened to Jeremiah Wright. After all, Jeremiah Wright is the one that teaches that Jesus was a black liberal and marxist. (Black Liberation Theology). Apparently this is a pretty common teaching in the black churches and unfortunately it’s starting to spread.

Well, it’s a load of garbage. This whole idea that we are to give up everything we have to people who don’t want to work and won’t help themselves is insane. To force people to do this is not compassion at all, and that is why I believe that liberals are evil instead of compassionate. It is not Christian charity to be forced to give to others. God gave us a choice, and you cannot force people to be compassionate.

Liberals are people that for whatever reason hate themselves so much that they see the only solution to the problem is to make others feel as rotten as they do. The problem is that other people usually aren’t your problem. Usually the problem is the person you see in the mirror.

Until you are ready to take responsibility for your life, you will always be miserable and any life lived apart from Jesus Christ will always be miserable. It’s the kind of life that sends people scurrying for a messiah like Obama instead of solving the real problem with is a deep spiritual problem. Solve that, and you solve most of your problems.

I know this from experience. I was depressed for years. I wanted to die. When I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ, everything changed.

I personally intend to resist Obama and these people who claim to be Christian but who really aren’t. They are evil. The Bible calls them goats, and they are the ones that Jesus will tell to “get away from him because he never knew them.”

Understand this: it is God who is sitting in judgement of all the evil in the world, not Christians, and He’s tired of it. God doesn’t accept excuses, and when we all stand before him in judgement, there will be no way to persuade him to save you just because you were a “good” person.

The most important question you will ever answer today is where you will spend eternity. Unless you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, and you are following him, then you stand condemned to an eternity of torment. This is not my opinion. This is what the Bible says, and God doesn’t change his mind.

Don’t be a fool like Obama, Jeremiah Wright, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and a whole bunch of other people I know. Give your life to Christ and let him save you. It will be the best decision you have ever made.

As the bumper sticker says, “God not GOV.” The solution here is not more government intervention but a fundamental change of heart where we turn to Christ.

One example is the teachings on love. This is something we really don’t take seriously. Too many people confuse love and lust.

I recently axed another business partner. Why? He was less than honest with me. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t always play nice with others. Sometimes it’s really hard when you get tired of others either walking over you or trying to walk over you.

One thing I have learned is that you can’t listen to what other people are saying unless they are being honest with you. If they are saying hateful hurtful things to be hateful, hurtful, or serve their own agenda, then you have to learn to ignore them.

This poem really says it all. Most people will never succeed in life or find happiness because they will waste their time listening to those who don’t care about them or only want to serve an agenda. I know. I’ve been there.

Make a copy of this poem and put it on your wall. It’s a great way to remind yourself of the real truth.

If You Can Find a Better Deal, Take It! – HUMAN EVENTS

Wow! Ann Coulter really hit the nail on the head with this one.

Apparently it didn’t go over very well with the mainstream press when Britt Hume suggested that Tiger Woods convert to Christianity and basically clean his life up. In Christianity, after all, he could find forgiveness.

I never knew this, but Tiger Woods is a Buddhist. Buddhists don’t believe in a god because they are striving to become god. The Buddhist religion never talks about forgiveness or absolution.

Anyway, I would highly recommend you read this column, especially all of you Christians who think that genuflecting, dipping your fingers in holy water, crossing yourself and spending time in the imaginary purgatory will save you. Ann is very clear about what it actually takes to become a Christian, and what our lives are supposed to be like once we’re saved.

What was the relationship between David and Jonathan?

Early when I first started writing this blog, someone came on this site and inferred that David and Jonathan were gay. This is not true, and this could never be true since David and Jonathan were both married, had children, and at least with David, we know that he loved women, so at the worst, he would have been bisexual, not homosexual.

For those who don’t know who David and Jonathan were, let me explain. Jonathan was the son of Saul, Israel’s first king. David was the man who became king after Saul. He was also the father of Solomon, the richest and wisest man who ever lived.

Anyway, I’m publishing the link to this article for those of you who are interested in this topic. Anyone that says that David and Jonathan were gay lovers is misinterpreting scripture and lying about what the Bible really says. Don’t believe it.
