What was the relationship between David and Jonathan?
Early when I first started writing this blog, someone came on this site and inferred that David and Jonathan were gay. This is not true, and this could never be true since David and Jonathan were both married, had children, and at least with David, we know that he loved women, so at the worst, he would have been bisexual, not homosexual.
For those who don’t know who David and Jonathan were, let me explain. Jonathan was the son of Saul, Israel’s first king. David was the man who became king after Saul. He was also the father of Solomon, the richest and wisest man who ever lived.
Anyway, I’m publishing the link to this article for those of you who are interested in this topic. Anyone that says that David and Jonathan were gay lovers is misinterpreting scripture and lying about what the Bible really says. Don’t believe it.

Gay Rights: Facts about Homosexuality – Faith Facts
I stumbled across this website when I was surfing Bible Gateway. Not only does it offer some good information on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality, but it also has a lot of information on a lot of different topics.
This site has been well researched, and it cites scripture in each one of its articles to actually show what the Bible says.
I think this information is especially important for Christians to read, study, and understand. We need to know the truth so we can teach the truth to others.
Also, I’ll be honest with you: this topic is too important not to tell the truth to homosexuals. I had rather that they suffer a little pain here on earth than to suffer in eternity. The salvation of the world is just too important not to stand up for the truth.

I never knew the answer to this until I was discussing it one day with my sister. In the new testament it tells us that if we are saved we have become heirs of Abraham. As heirs of Abraham, we are entitle to the promises. The promises that are referred to are here:
Deuteronomy 28:1-14Deuteronomy 28:1-14
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV
28

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. store: or, dough, or, kneadingtroughs

The thing I want to stress here is that God is not out to get us. He genuinely loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. (If you want to know what heaven will be like, read Genesis and the account of the Garden of Eden.)
Know that God loves you, and He wants you to prosper. He will change your life and give you a life you can’t even imagine if you allow Him to. If you haven’t already, I encourage each of you to turn your lives over to Christ. He will set you free.

One of the decisions I made after I moved here to Salisbury is that I was going to live my life very differently. When I lived in Atlanta, there wasn’t very much time for any type of life because I was so busy helping my daughter and her husband take care of their little girls.
By the time the day was over, the only thing I wanted to do was go to bed. I was trying to run a business, help take care of my granddaughters, and helping with the housework. I was putting far more into it than I was getting out, and to be honest, it got old.
That’s what happens when there are things that you want for yourself that you’re not getting. I think we all have some form of dissatisfaction in our lives we need to deal with. For me, it was how I was allowing my kids to treat me out of the guilt I felt because of all of the times I failed my kids when they were growing up.
I ended up with a lot of negative messages inside of my head from the experience. I think when we feel too much guilt over our mistakes, we allow others to mistreat us badly. Unfortunately, what often happens is that we let others abuse us because of this guilt.
If you are genuinely sorry for your mistakes, and I was, then what you have to do is ask God for forgiveness. Once you’ve asked for forgiveness, the forgive yourself. Let it go. It may seem hard, but keep doing it until it’s done. If you don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t forgive yourself, you’re leaving the door open for even more abuse and your life will never get better.
The problem I had with this was that I kept going back to those “old tapes.” If you live with this kind of negativity long enough, it becomes ingrained. You have to get rid of it. The easiest way to do this is to search your Bible for scripture that disputes whatever negative belief you have.
For example, if you have low self esteem, you need to look at what the Bible actually has to say about it.
(Read Psalm 139. One chapter I like to read is Psalm 91.)
Whatever scriptures you find, read them over and over. Repetition is the key to your success.
This is what I have been doing to get rid of the negative messages inside of my head, and I feel like a different person.
There’s no recession in heaven!

My sister sent me this, and I wanted to share it with you. It’s definitely something to think about. Have a great day.
You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you’ve ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir? A choir of trumpets? You don’t know, but you want to know.. So you pull
over, get out of your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren’t the only curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open, and people are Staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing out of the grocery store.
The Little League baseball game across the street has come to a halt… Players and parents are searching the clouds. And what they see, and what you see, has never before been seen.
As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. A brilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None.
From every hue ever seen and a million more never seen. Riding on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of the sky.
North. South. East. West.
Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy, holy, holy.. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four silver-bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship.
Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn, the entire world turns and there He is.. Jesus.
Through waves of light you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King.. He is atop a great stallion, and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud. He opens his mouth, and you are surrounded by his declaration:
I am the Alpha and the Omega.
The angels bow their heads… The elders remove their crowns.. And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know:
Nothing else matters…. For get stock markets and school reports. Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy.. All that mattered, matters no more.. For Christ has come.
Please let me know the exact time you read this. It is mystical–honest.
This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, he saw me, and he asked: My child, what is your greatest wish for today?
I responded: ‘Lord please; take care of my family, my friends, the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much’.
The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginnings but not its end.
To some it may sound dumb, but the person who sent this to me was impressed with its timing. Let us see if it is true. ANGELS EXIST, but sometimes, since they don’t all have wings we call them FRIENDS, SUCH AS YOU.
Pass it on.
