True or False?

I ran across this post at the Simply Youth Ministry site, and it really got me to thinking.
It seems like other people will really go out of their way to point out your faults these days, even if what they are pointing out isn’t a fault at all. This is different from Christians pointing out things that are clearly sin. When we bring up the issue of sin and try to get others to repent, we are doing something God has told us to do.
What I’m saying here is this: is there something that you are feeling guilty about today that you shouldn’t be? Are you trying to be perfect so others won’t point the finger?
I personally used to try really hard to be perfect. Then one day I woke up and got a real dose of reality. Nowhere in the Bible does is call us to be perfect. It does tell us to be like Jesus, but being like something and being something are different things. Jesus is perfect. We are to strive to be like him, but we can never be him.
Besides, one thing we all really need to do is to learn how to accept that God really does love us. This is one area where Satan will realy try to persuade you that God feels differently. What better way to break you than to convince you that no one, especially God, doesn’t love you?
We all get lied to at one time or another. Believe the lies if you want. It is easier than looking for the truth. When you seek the truth though, it really will set you free.
Read the post. Take the test. What insights did you get?
